A New Breed of Ferndown Estate Agents
Having worked in traditional agency settings for many years before taking a break to have a family, I am now proud to be expanding the Meyers brand into the Ferndown area as a local property expert. As agency doesn’t need to be on the high street, savings on overheads are reinvested, by Meyers, into better and effective digital marketing, more expansive advertising and a more highly customer centric service, helping property owners sell faster and achieve the best possible price whilst removing the complications out of moving, which can otherwise be an understandably stressful time.
Ferndown is the largest town in East Dorset, with a population of approximately 26,500. It offers a bustling town centre, including a wide range of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Nearby there are expansive public playing fields, a sports centre and several highly regarded golf courses including the renowned Ferndown Golf Course.
Ferndown and Uddens Industrial Estates, form the largest industrial area in East Dorset containing a wide range of both small and large businesses and many major employers are based here, including many household names such as Farrow & Ball and Porsche.
Schooling in Ferndown, as in much of Dorset, is based on a three-tier system of first, middle and upper schools. Ferndown Upper School is a co-educational comprehensive school for students aged between 13 and 19, with up to 320 pupils admitted each year from its feeder middle schools in Ferndown, West Moors and Verwood.
The town is close to the main A31 trunk road, making it an ideal centre from which to explore the local area, the New Forest and the award winning beaches in Poole and Bournemouth, approximately 10 miles away. To the east, the A31 connects to the M27 and M3 via the outskirts of Southampton to Winchester, and thence to Basingstoke and London or via the A34 to the M4 north of Newbury. Bournemouth International Airport is close by, and the nearest railway station is Branksome, 6.8 miles away, and offers a direct service to London Waterloo.
“I’m really looking forward to helping the local Ferndown community, and anyone relocating to the area, move on to new chapters within their lives as smoothly as possible!”
